We are looking to take all of the more interesting scientific studies we come across, and encapsulate them in articles to emphasize the diversity of effects of each supplement. This started as a project to help us evangelize to our friends and family some of our favorite supplements.
- Fish Oil
- Fish Oil contains essential fatty acids (omega-3 EPA and DHA) that most of us aren't getting enough of with our westernized fast-food diets.
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin D is essential also, and while this vitamin can be synthesized by people who are exposed to enough sunlight, not everyone produces this in the same quantities. African-Americans, people who live in areas or lifestyles with less direct sun exposure, the elderly, and the overweight are all groups of people which should get their Vitamin D levels checked. A growing portion of individuals worldwide are deficient in Vitamin D, and research is indicative some pretty severe physical and mental consequences from said deficiency.
