Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid. The primary source of DHA is cold water fish, which ingest DHA from phytoplankton and zooplankton. [1] Eicosapentaenoic acid, another omega-3 fatty acid, can be converted into docosahexaenoic acid. [2]
