Arachidonic acid

Arachidonic acid is an omega-6 fatty acid. It generates pro-inflammatory eicosanoids such as prostaglandin (PG)E2, leukotriene B4, and thromboxane A2, which promote inflammation. [1] Linoleic acid is converted into arachidonic acid and is found in vegetable oil including corn, peanut, sunflower, safflower, and olive oil. [2]
